Welcome
A Note About This Week's Terror Attacks
In light of the tragedy today in Orlando and earlier this week in Tel Aviv, I wanted to take a moment to recognize the victims of these attacks and their families that are going through such an incredibly tough time. Without the intention of taking anything away from these events, I have written an article comparing reactions to terrorist incidents around the globe.

Terror Is Terror Is Terror Is Terror
Original Article By Brian Berman
In this original article, I discuss the disparate treatment Israel receives following incidents of terrorism. The responses to the Tel Aviv terror attack look a little bit different than the responses to Orlando, Brussels or Paris.

Hamas Is Ready For War With Israel
Unsurprisingly, Hamas is focusing its efforts on preparing for the next War with Israel rather than rebuilding the communities of Gaza. Hamas makes no secret of this, and yet the world will continue to blame Israel for the poor condition of Gazans. This article quotes a Hamas official who states, "the al-Qassam soldier knows he is going to heaven so he fights to the end. The Israeli soldier wants to go back to his girlfriend." No quote better encapsulates the differing outlook between the two sides of the conflict; one glorifies death and one glorifies life.
Cop Inadvertently Invited Tel Aviv Shooter Into His Home
The shocking Tel Aviv terrorist massacre involved two Palestinian terrorists disguised as religious Jews. Incredibly, a Tel Aviv police officer initially mistook one of the assailants as a victim and invite him into his home before discovering his identity and arresting him.
In Rare Move, UN Secretary General Recognizes Israel As Victim
The United Nations is right up there with Hamas and its ilk in terms of anti-Israel sentiment. For this reason, I was surprised to see that UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon expressed solidarity with Israel following the Tel Aviv terror attack. Further, he expressed shock that Hamas leaders celebrated the Israeli deaths.
I appreciate his words for once, but the fact that he was shocked at the Hamas response proves he needs to pay a bit more attention to the conflict.

Peru Gets First Jewish President
Peru isn't often mentioned when discussing the diaspora. Recently, though, Peru just elected its first Jewish president, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski. Let's hope that Kuczynski's term will be a good one!

Secretary of Smithsonian says Boycotting Israel goes against basic principles of academia
In a speech at Technion University, the head of the Smithsonian Institution, David Skorton, shot down BDS as counerproductive, stating, "The idea of academic boycotting goes against the most basic principle of academia, period." Further, he declares that "[his] personal belief is that you don’t get better by failing to talk to each other."
Anti-Semitism
New anti-Semitism definition replaces abandoned EU version
The Times of Israel reports on the recent International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance meeting, where the intergovernmental agency representing 31 Western nations adopted a new definition of anti-Semitism that includes the demonization of Israel.
Ridiculous Headlines
CNN Blunders Another Headline
CNN is no stranger to twisting stories and headlines. In its latest example, it followed the Tel Aviv terror attack with the Tweet "Two 'terrorists' captured after Tel Aviv attack . . ." Apparently, CNN wasn't quite sure whether two Palestinian gunmen shooting up a restaurant in Tel Aviv was terror or not. CNN has since removed the tweet, but it has been captured by screenshot.

Israel Shows Its Resilience
In true Israeli fashion, Tel Aviv residents proved that terror will not beat Israeli society. Eylon Aslan-Levy (@EylonALevy) shows the very same restaurant that was the scene of the incident packed to the brim with customers the following morning.
AP Diplomatic Writer Questions US State Department
At a US State Department press briefing, AP Diplomatic Writer, Matt Lee (@APDiploWriter), asked a straightforward question on the topic of Israel' recent terror attack in Tel Aviv:
"Do you recall ever feeling the need to advise, to warn, to urge governments in Europe to use restraint as they respond – when they respond to terrorist attacks?"
The answer: "I can’t come up with an instance, no."
One simple, direct question tells quite a story...
